The current heatwave has forced us to seek temporary refuge at high altitudes, where thankfully some orchids cans till be found like this Gymnadenia species known for its fine odour.
I couldn't resist taking them in bright sunlight with hint of cool snow capped mountains in the background.

Nikon FX with Tamron 90mm macro.
Merge of 2 images in PS and enhanced with NIK COlorEfex.

Lovely lighting- I like the soft background too. Would not have guessed it was snow! Hot and cold! Really pretty.
