Mayfly Orchid  Acianthus caudatus

The mayfly orchid is also known "Dead Horse" as in warm weather it smells of rotting flesh.  Luckily it was a cool day when I found this one, there were a few growing beside a track.  It's quite a small orchid with the labellum only 5-6mm long but the sepals are very long - maybe 30mm, for a total flower height of 60mm or so.

Chose a cropped in view for this shot, I've linked below a full view showing the extent of the sepals.  Image is a 24 frame stack.

Fascinating plant - especially the view of the whole plant.
Look forward to seeing more of your exotic varieties!

Interesting looking plant and terrific work showing it as a stacked image. I really enjoyed seeing the full plant to give your post greater context.

Lovely in this view, the full image with the extravagant curving petal is also wonderful.
