Winding down a macro shoot and saw a bunch of sleeping tiger beetle. Took some portraits and some dorsal closeup, for a change.

Not sure if the lighting is optimal, and wish both eyes are in focus.

Still, hope there's some aesthetic feel to the image.....

1/200, f18, 90D, T90 +Raynox250, diffused flash,hh.

I think this works pretty well because it's so colorful with nice detail on the dorsal view. It would be fun to see the whole beetle too, from just a bit higher perspective, but this is nicely done too,

The colors are super - an impressive species, and a fine image.

Nice flash work is very effective in showcasing the details and color of this tiger beetle. Well done.
