This milkweed seed is hung up on a dying chicory plant during the Fall. I was in the midst of photographing milkweed pods when I noticed this small life struggle playing out in front of me. It's life depended on a breeze to come and carry it away and land on a suitable site to germinate.  Later that day the seed was gone hopefully to a suitable site.

Wonderful light and clarity Warren. In its simplest form, this seed's life in the hands of the wind is typical of many of our own random acts of life. Well seen.
Make your life spectacular!

This flower and this seed are really works of art of nature.
And is so true: life is a breeze.

We are all so dependent on the winds of time to carry us through the good times and the bad, Warren. I'm glad this little seed hung around just long enough for you to get this lovely image before it went on its way.

Carol.

Lovely combination. The chicory made a nice, I hope temporary landing spot.

Great story and illustration-life is so tenuous sometimes-one would wish for success, even for a milkweed seed. :)
