Came across some nice mushrooms this Fall on some short walks within a few miles of home.  This grouping appeared to have exploded out of the ground. I'm not sure of the ID, although I believe it to be a fairly common species. Any comments on the ID are welcome.

Unfortunately I don't know the name of the mushrooms, but it looks like a really nice little family.

I could well be wrong, but this lovely cluster looks like 'Honey Mushroom'  (Armillariella mellea) - found September through to November, and a great image, Warren.

What a nice cluster-they do look like they are reaching out with long arms. A fun shot.
