Plain Sun Orchid Thelymitra nuda

This is another species of sun orchid, differing from the spotted sun orchid in size and details in the column, it's quite shy to open and it took 4 or 5 trips about 2.5km over hilly terrain to find it open finally.

Lovely orchid and great use of a telephoto lens for subject isolation.

I love the thought of a 'shy' orchid, Chris! Beautiful first class image.

Beautiful detail of the flowers and the color so delicate against a background so perfectly homogeneous.
