This female praying mantis has put her ootheca (An ootheca contains very few eggs with a foamy protein that hardens in contact with methane, forming a protective cover where after several months the baby mantises are born) in a place where it is difficult to see it for its mimicry with the environment. After hunting this poor bee, the praying mantis returns to the place where she will put some more ootheca. (I hope you understand my English as a translator). A warm hug

Well seen! I would never have guessed what that was-thanks for the description. (English is excellent!). A very interesting, story-telling shot with excellent detail. I like that you used the 100-400 to get this-telephoto can be great for macro!
