Leek Orchid Prasophyllum elatum
A leek orchid from yesterday near home, quite a big orchid, the scape in this was about 600mm and the flower section shown about 200mm, this species can grow up to 1 meter tall and it is quite fragrant. This shot shows the power of using a 600mm equivalent lens as this flower was poorly positioned surrounded by shrubs and dead branches. The narrow field of view allowed positioning the camera to look through a narrow gap and keep distracting elements out of the composition.
