 ISO 400, 1/1600s. F 8.0 This is a Painted Lady butterfly from a couple of summers ago. I couldn't quite get the edges of the wings totally sharp as a result of having to hand hold the 200 macro lens that does not have vibration reduction. Keeping the shutter speed high enough for best overall sharpness somewhat limited the DOF. Very much a compromise as in many images. In any event, I like the butterfly and the simplicity of the overall image. Please click for higher resolution. |
