Waratah   Teleopea speciosissima

Haven't posted any thing for a while.  Lockdown has meant no diving, but I've been getting out into the bush around home on longer walks and there's plenty to see with the wildflowers coming out.  Here's a Waratah found in Royal National Park, down a little used trail, always a spectacular sight.

Powerful bloom. The emerging bug seems to lend the image a certain sense of immediacy or of that present moment.
