Nikon D3x, Zeiss 135mm F2.0.
ISO200, 1/320s, F5.6, Tripod

This milkweed was photographed within a year of my changing from film to digital so the ISO 200 seemed like a fast ISO to me at the time. My settings would be different today but I sill like the overall look of this shot.  It was fairly breezy so I focused on the pod and just shot several bursts while the seeds were blowing in and out and up and down. This one was my favorite despite, or maybe because of, the slight movement of some of the seeds.

I like how the seeds are in various stages of escape from the pod.

I can see why this is a favorite. A beautiful design of fluff and seeds. Love the curl on the stem too. The lovely green background really sets it off. So very pleasing-I just enjoy contemplating this.
