It's "obligatory" because it's such an interesting subject to photograph. Whether stacked, or shot at a great DOF, or as in your excellent image shot at a narrow depth of field, it's a wonderful subject. This is very well exposed and the limited DOF draws your eye to the middle of the image.

Nothing "usual" about this! I am enjoying the beautiful symmetry, and especially the soft "fuzz" around the outside. I want to jump into the middle of this soft pillow! Gorgeous!
