 ISO 400, 1/1000s, F 8.0 This is a Baltimore Checkerspot butterfly necturing on a Black Eyed Susan flower that I photographed last week. I was not out looking for butterflies on this day, but there were several of them at the edge of a country road near my home while I was driving with my telephoto lens looking for birds. This species is one of the few local butterflies that I prefer their underwing as opposed to their top side. Please click for higher resolution. |
