Visiting the local gardens and attached butterfly on a snowy day proved two things - staying warm, and secondly photographing brilliantly colored butterflies. Since i was the only one i was lucky to go around leisurely. Spotted this blue morph on the window at about a couple of feet from the floor level with the background of the snow outside. Got down to eye level and composed with this tender vine. I was taken aback when the highlights were all blinking red but that's what i wanted and PP on the big screen it rendered very well.

Fine capture of the butterfly - and an inventive way to hide the window.

Great color in the butterfly-a beautiful specimen. I somehow want to see the vine anchored, but that is a minor detail.
