The trip to Les Pleiades above Montreux on Lake Geneva during May is always a worthwhile undertaking when the slopes are covered in wild daffodils (Narcissus radiiflorus and Narcissus poeticus), aptly termed "la neige de May".

Nice handling of the whites. This reminds me of pinwheels. ‘la neige de May’, so poetic.

That's the advantage of altitude - you can extend spring (or winter) by weeks.
Our daffodils in the low lying areas are gone by Easter.
