Locally called "Maiglöckchen" translated "Little bells of May" - another wonderful spring herald.

Although frequent as a garden flower, they have become scarce in local forests, so I was was very happy to have found this batch in a secluded spot.

Nikon D500 with Sigma 150mm Macro.

I didn't even know they grew wild- so beautifully shown here. I like how the flowers emerge from all those green leaves. Spring indeed!

Lovely little bells against the green leaves. They are so close to the ground and sweetly scented.

Very nice.
Our Maiglockschen are just poking out of the ground...another two weeks to bloom....they will probably be Juneglockschen,,,lol
