You really show the texture in this, reminds me of a tapestry. Very cool macro shot.

I admire butterfly wing-detail images, and this is a beauty. Excellent detail and sharpness! I think it would be fantastic printed large – the fine detail would speak volumes. Well done, Amy!

I love getting the wing scales on Leps! How close did you have to get to capture that detail with a wide angle lens?

Thanks Craig, I had actually just watched this one emerge and was about a foot 1/2 away, then cropped it to just the wing. My focal length was @ 22mm.
