Eriochilus cucullatus
One of our autumn flowering orchids, this little flower stem is about 120mm high in total and growing in a paddock with native grasses, they pop up most year around April. The location is the Astronomical Society of NSW dark sky site and it probably benefits from the paddock being slashed regularly, but only if the grass is cut at the right time of year to allow it flower and set seed.
