Wonderful abstract type image that brings you back to reality by incorporating the grass at the top. After looking at your posted shot and the original I would vote for your posted vertical image. I like the cascading effect of the grass at the top and the shadows flowing downhill. Beautiful lines......well seen.

Love this-very artistic. Refreshing to see! I like both versions, but I think I prefer the original posting. The downward slant seems more exciting and unusual. Wonderful use of those long shadows and the grasses that seem to be reaching downwards. Bravo for originality!

Full marks for vision and creativity to put this together! I enjoy the image and applaud you. I guess I'm with everyone else placing my vote on the vertical as my preference as well. This has inspired me to go out into the snow and seek out patterns of light and shadow.

Lovely shadows and patterns - it flows and it's artistic. I like the vertical better - the lines work better reading from top to bottom right.

Love this!
Well spotted, also prefer the vertical.
You have also inspired me to go out and scan the snow....but I will wait until the minus 25 weather is over...lol

Nice arty photo. Prefer the vertical. I think it has more tension somehow. Though there's no snow in these parts, u made me think about shadows which I frequently find intriguing and full of potential for image-making.

Gorgeous abstract shot indeed! In its simplicity and refinement it constitutes a really unique composition.
I prefer the vertical version.
