Bright reds, great details, nice flash lighting. Is a katydid species?

Hi Tom,

Thanks. One source says this is :

Conocephalus Melas tiny red-black Cricket is a species of Tettigoniidae (bush-crickets or katydids)

Maybe not a nymph afterall.

Fine image of this common cricket. Like the pretty red and therefore, one of my favourite subjects but often too skittish to photograph.

Not common in my view! Wonderfully colorful and appealing with that bright eye.
