Orchid season is almost over - fortunately we can move about again.

Another variant of the European Bee Orchid - quite rare - fortunately we have a small group close by.

4 K video capture - composite image generated with Helicon Focus.

One of my favourite plants. Beautiful shot. We did not get as many as usual this year due to very dry weather early on. The site I manage usually has hundreds.

I have been missing your orchids, so its a treat to see this beautiful image, Sinuhe.   :)

I hope you are all well in these troubled times.

Carol.

Lovely image of the delicate orchid, fine background. Great to see one of your images again.

Thanks for your kind comment.
We've heard that Wales is a orchid hotspot in the UK - will need to plan a visit once the world returns to normal again.
The hot dry weather is decimating our orchid population - the decline is very worrying - went out again this morning to one of our regular sites and found almost nothing.

Thank you for your kind comment, Carol - it's good to be back - the times are indeed troubling.
It was a delight to find these small beauties again - unfortunately they are becoming increasingly scarce.

Thank you for your kind comment, Tom - I was surprised at how handy the small 300mm is for macro - totally obliterates any background intrusion. Take care, S.
