Calico Pennant (m)
Celithemis elisa
6.4.2020Livingston Co, MI I'm thrilled to see some juveniles around; they're one of my favorites, and last year was the first year that we didn't find any around our little pond. I love how the colors continues down the cerci ("tail appendages") like pin striping on a car. When mature, everything that's yellow on this guy will be red. 5DIV 100-400 II 1/800, f/9, iso 800 Hand held, natural light Comments and suggestions always welcome |
