Weedy Sea Dragon Phyllopteryx taeniolatus
From my dive on the weekend a weedy sea dragon on a dive site just inside Sydney's Botany Bay. These sea horse relatives are endemic to Australia's southern coastline, the population in Botany Bay is threatened by the proposal to build a cruise terminal in the bay, the required dredging would kill them off throughout the bay and it would take many years for the population to recover.
