I've owned a macro lense for probably 10 years and have only tried it 4 or 5 times which sure seemed like a waste so I tried some Dart Frog photography yesterday. South and Central America was not on my weekend agenda so I was left with photographing captive species which is more than fine with me because jungles aren't high on my visit list I believe this is a Ranitomeya ventrimaculata 'Rodyll' - Amazonian Poison Frog but I may be incorrect .. in any event it is small. About the size of my thumb nail so this is about a 50% crop even with the 100mm macro .... I didn't want to get too close with the ring flash.
