A bearded greenhood orchid from the Otways National Park. I was very pleased to find some different orchids on my recent visit to the Otways.

Nikon D5600 with Nikon 40mm macro lens on a gorilla pod, with diffused flash. F13, ISO 200, 1/60 sec.

So exotic- very lovely close-up. There's something almost animal-like about this. Sorry-can't explain. :)

This is an unusual flower, as least to this northern hemispherer, beautifully positioned against a beautiful background!

Great capture of an unusual orchid. Lovely detail, nice soft light, and pleasing background.

nice work Kim. greenhoods make great subjects, and their pollination method trapping insects that have to crawl pasts the anther and stigma to exit after being lured by pheromones is amazing.
