One monarch just hatched from it's chrysalis, another ready to hatch.
We successfully gathered eggs, housed, fed, grew, protected, tagged and released 156 Endangered monarchs this year.
And the cycle continues...

Please help by planting milkweed - the only thing the caterpillars will eat - and avoid pesticides.

Beautiful image! Love the perch and the dark brown background. nice compostion and great looking, freshly emerged butterfly. It is also telling a story.

Pretty setting for the monarchs, love the milkweed seeds on the lichen branch.

Lovely setting for these two and a nice illustration of the emerging process. Wonderful work you are doing with them! My Monarchs are all hatched and gone except one on a railing. I fear it will not survive as we have had several freezes.
