Carbunup King Spider Orchid Caladenia procera

The Carbunup King SPider Orchid is quite rare and is declared threatened flora.  This was growing right by the side of a road, less than 2m from the bitumen.  The telephoto lens was good for isolating it against a nice BG.

Just the right angle to capture detail of all flower parts - beautiful flower, fine simple background.

Neat subject, great light and bg to show it off. Nice detail. Personally, I’d pan left, moving the subject right - it’s “leaning” left toward the edge of the frame. Then again, I don’t know what happens with the stem, maybe distracting elements you had to exclude.

Looks like a lovely lady queen with a crown and hands crossed. :) . Beautiful flower-I'd prefer not to see the side stem.
