Love the isolation and brilliant colors of the butterfly and flower. Such a nice contrast with the dark surrounds. Makes for a dramatic composition. Wish the lower wing was a bit more in focus.

Love the bright flower and butterfly against dark background. Makes a beautiful image. Nice composition as well. Agree with Cynthia on the wings.

The contrast with the background is striking, as is the butterfly color. A lower camera position would improve the hind wing detail.

Beautiful, almost spotlight effect and lovely combination of light and dark!

Light and color contrast are striking. I agree that the hindwing is unfortunate, but it’s sharp in the eyes, where the viewers’ eyes are drawn.
