Great subject/action, light, and bg. I like the “dead space” - to me, it gives the newly emerged butterfly a place to perch while it pumps up, dries out, etc. Maybe could use a bit of NR?

You caught it at the very beginning- nice! I like the negative space too. So magical to see this process.

Very interesting image. Agree with others on negative space. I am getting to see all stages of metamorphosis of Monarch thanks to several posts on that. The dark areas may need a little more detail. may be difficult to do without getting noise @ 3200 ISO. I like the image, as it is instructive of the process.

Nice capture, the clear chrysalis and wing look great. The darks do lack detail, but you could enhance them in post processing, even at this ISO.
