Queen of Sheba Thelymitra varigata
From the SW of Western Australia, the queen of sheba is a spectacular and quite rare sun orchid, relatively small the flowers are about 30mm diameter. This was in a reserve that holds a total of 14 plants flowering. BG could be better but I wasn't prepared to tidy up the surrounding area, shooting with the telephoto lens helped a lot Larger image: Queen of Sheba Olympus OM-D EM-1 MkII + 300mm f4, diffuser, hand held. 1/200 @ f5.6 ISO500 Chris Ross
