Daintree Rainforest, Queensland, Australia
Nikon D850 70-180mm @ 122mm 1/15 sec, f/10 Mode: Av Metering: Multi-segment Exp comp: +2/3 ISO: 800 White balance: Auto Flash: TTL-3 Fascinating insect - about 3-6 inches long, extremely well-camoflaged when hanging among identical brown, dried, curled leaves. They sway in the wind if the leaves sway. When threatened, they flip over (right-side up), curl their tails over their back and raise their front legs to look very much like a scorpion. Docile and don't bite. Sadly, commonly kept as pets. Last edited by Sandy R-B on Thu Aug 22, 2019 9:00 pm, edited 2 times in total. |
