Eastern Wirrah Acanthistius ocellatus
An Eastern Wirrah under an overhang at a dive site called Oak Park, located in the south of Sydney. Don't see them that often when diving but they are always under overhangs or in caves. This one is sitting among sponges and sea squirts that cover many surfaces underwater around Sydney. Water temperature 14°C and 10m depth. Quite an attractive fish but said to be poor eating.
