Monarch Chrysalis

My previous Monarch post of a caterpillar has turned into a Chrysalis. I saw it curled up in preparation-didn't get that picture. This one was under a milkweed leaf- kind of dark and hard to see, but did not want to disturb it too much.  Now it's wait and see if it starts to turn different colors-probably a week or so. I have several caterpillars in a special habitat-otherwise it would be impossible to find them when they wander off to pupate.  I consider this still a native environment, but perhaps I should label it "captive".

Nice image. the diagonal leaf, vertical chrysalis and the colors, especially the golden rim, make this image. Looking forward to the next stage.
