Eastern Fiddler Ray  Trygonorrhina fasciata

An Eastern Fiddler ray sitting out in the open on a rock covered with pink coralline algae, a school of Eastern Hula Fish swim off to the right of frame.  These ray are about 1.2 - 1.5m long and I see them occasionally when diving, they allow a close approach, I was only about 300mm from this ray when I took the shot.

Awesome image of such a colorful and patterned ray, within a great composition scene.

Fine composition, nice light, the ray is an excellent subject, well-captured.

Hi Chris. I love the composition on this one, not too cluttered yet lots of detail to take in.
