Soft Corals on the reeftop at Lolou Reef, the fish is a Vagabond Butterflyfish.

Fine image - did you light the scene from the side? Nice light on the foreground coral on the left, excellent detail.

Hi Tom and thanks, light is two strobes out on arms one each side and a little above the lens. The water absorbs light particularly red light very quickly so it looks a little like lighting from one side as light from the far side has to travel further. Strobe positioning is a whole topic in itself, this link explains some of the concepts:

Taken with the fisheye I'm generally less than 1m from main subject and generally closer for most shots.
