Iced Golden Cedar

Taken in Michigan's Eastern Upper Peninsula.

This cedar, coated by freezing rain, is on the way to dying - it will turn rusty red when dead. 

It would make a great set-up perch at a bird feeder, eh.

Very cool! The ice makes this look jewel-like. Don't know about a perch-I think the birds might slide off! ;)

Beautiful golden color! Looks like Jewelry. The main branch and leaves nicely isolated from background, and all the leaves are in focus, both of which are hard to achieve.
