Dusky-blue Groundstreak

Calycopis isobeon

National Butterfly Center
Mission, TX

In the U.S, this is a S. Texas specialty.  Although I don't have a true macro lens, I can't resist this thumbnail-size species, and I think this is my favorite of the many shots I've taken.

100-400 4.5-5.6 II + 36mm extension
1/100s, f/13
Eval -.67
iso 800
Natural light, handheld

Comments and suggestions welcome.
Good light,

Beautiful butterfly, fine capture (especially the colors), and a nice perch as well.

A very pleasing view-lovely detail and colors. What a pretty species! Doesn't look like you need a macro lens. :)
