At first glance, these little guys just look boring black.  Get a fresh one in nice light, though. . . .

A lovely image Craig. I like the way the flower enhances the subtle colour of the skipper.

Nice image. The real colors of skipper show well and the light blue color of the flower helps bring up the subjects colors well. Nice composition.
