Red-bordered Metalmark (m)
Caria ino

Hidalgo Co, TX

In the U.S, found only in far southern Texas.  Not much bigger than a thumbnail, and not especially colorful on the topside (especially the males.)  This one was visible from our R.V. window, it wasn't too windy, and the light was pretty good, so I decided to go out for a shot of the more colorful underside.  I liked this one better than the profile-type shots - he looks like he's shocked that I'm going to post his nether regions on line!

Fine composition and a creative angle on the colorful metalmark.

I hope he won't complain about the invasion of his privacy, Craig! Good choice on the ange with this one, and a lovely composition.

Hi

I like the different perspective which with the nicely attention seeking subject eyes really add impact to the view as a whole

A nicely thought out, and taken image

All the best
Matthew
