Red-bordered Metalmark (m)
Caria ino Hidalgo Co, TX In the U.S, found only in far southern Texas. Not much bigger than a thumbnail, and not especially colorful on the topside (especially the males.) This one was visible from our R.V. window, it wasn't too windy, and the light was pretty good, so I decided to go out for a shot of the more colorful underside. I liked this one better than the profile-type shots - he looks like he's shocked that I'm going to post his nether regions on line! 5D Mk IV 100-400 4.5-5.6 II + extension 1/125 s, f/9 iso 800 Hand held, natural light Comments and suggestions always welcome. |
