Beautiful butterfly, lovely capture of the vivid blue hues. I'd prefer a placement of the focal plane that favored the wing edges.

Beautiful butterfly, indeed, and the colors you captured are gorgeous, with the blue of the butterfly 'reflected' in the dew droplets on the stem, all against a really nice green background. Looking at what is in and out of focus, however, shows just how challenging the shot must have been, e.g., the water droplets in the lower right edge are out of focus, while the left hand edge is in focus. Methinks this is the agonizing part of macro!

Hi

I like the composition and have enjoyed the image - I can relate to the remarks about plane of field placement, it maybe be my eyes but the antenna seems sharper than I would expect while the wings and some body areas are more oof then I would expect too lol. So maybe not my ideal look, but still an image that delights with colour

All the best
Matthew

Nice butterfly, shot looks good though as others have said DOF should extend over the wings. Blues seem to be difficult in this regard as they often don't perch completely flat, though looking at this shot it appears as though you could have adjusted focus closer to the camera to bring a lot more of the wingtips in.

Everyone above me said what I was thinking. Technically imperfect, but an absolutely beautiful shot nonetheless.
