Thelymitra ixioides - Blue Spotted Sun Orchid

These tiny orchids are difficult to photograph as they require full sun to open and stay open. You need to shade then to quickly take the image or wait till the sun goes in and quickly photograph them before they start closing. This was taken using the last method.

Nikon D750. F11, 1/90, 1200 ISO. 105mm macro.

Nice image Kim, always nice to come across T.ixioides, nicely isolated from the BG which can be a bit of a challenge sometimes.
