Garabaldi Hypsypops rubicundus
Hi all, been quite a while since I've posted here, just got back from a work trip to California and I was able to squeeze in a diving trip to Catalina Island on the side, one of the prominent fish in the kelp forests around Catalina Island is the Garabaldi fish, a species of damselfish. They are quite fearless and have been known to attack divers to drive them out of nesting territory. They grow to around 300mm long or so.
