Lovely view of these elegant orchids. I like the way the foliage winds around behind them. Are they very small?

The flowers of this beautiful wild orchid are up to an inch in length. The spurs of some of the flowers are also shown in the photo extending behind and downward from the corollas. They are up to 2 inches in length, and they contain the nectar that attracts the orchid's nocturnal sphinx moth pollinators. The height of EPFOs ranges from 16 to 40 inches. EPFOs are listed by US Fish & Wildlife as Threatened and by my home state of Wisconsin as Endangered.
