Another Monarch

Tis the season. I guess Craig and I had the same thing in mind- I got a series of shots on several Monarchs in the clover, and tried various angles, though I pretty much stayed with the same settings. It was raining pretty hard, so I was shooting from my car. I was just so thrilled to see them.
D500, Tamron 150-600, 1/2500, f/6.3, ISO 2000

I love he color palette, and the clover blossoms line up beautifully for the receding “in focusness.” Normally I hate white / gray skies, but you’ve got them working for you in these shots. Just a couple of “real pretty” shots. Your vision / approach when shooting is so different than mine - you shoot things I’d never see. I love seeing that here.

Beautiful work, Cindy. The out-of-focus clover in the upper part of the background really conveys a great feeling of depth in the image.

Hi

A very well composed image - in a difficult setting you have avoided distracting edge effects if u know what I mean, and crafted a delightful image full of colour and interest while retaining the importance of the main star
