Have been experimenting with my Tamron 150-600-I think it makes a pretty good macro lens...what do think?  Having fun, anyway.

Nikon D500, Tamron 150-600, @300mm. 1/640, f/5.6. ISO 2000, handheld.

Love the composition and the light - and fine lens performance.

Nice composition and image Cynthia. I too, really like using telephotos for macros - usually in the 300-420mm range, they give more isolation to the subject and a different look than say a 105mm macro.

Thanks Robert. I have almost no experience with a macro lens-my husband has a 100mm that I tried-I couldn't get enough of the subject in focus for my purposes, though it's great 1 inch from something small you really want to grab. ( Obvious to everyone here in this gallery, I am sure...).  :D

Hi

An appealing image with the faded blooms added as much to the overall compositional look as the pristine ones

Very nice indeed

All the best
Matthew

This is a beautiful shot Cindy! I love the way the flowers flow across the frame and the bee is an added bonus. Love it!

Very nice. The combination of the in-focus blossoms and the out-of-focus leaves, stems, etc. is great. It really draws one's attention to what's "important" in this shot.
