Dorcas Copper
Lycaena dorcas Ogemaw Co, MI 5DIV 100-400 II 1/2000 sec, f/8 iso 800 This guy was a lifer for me, so I went to the RV and told my wife about it; we went out so she could see it, and no sooner did she get a look than an Ambush Bug nailed it! Tried for some shots of him, (the Ambush Bug,) but he's tiny - about half of the diameter of the Shrubby Cinquefoil stamen clusters. Even w/ a 1.4x and the 500D, I couldn't get anything that I'd share here. I was happy with the color palette here, even if the light was pretty brutal. Comments and suggestions always welcome.
