My wife, Gail, and I love our small blue iris from our yard.  I made this image by placing the bloom in a black box and employing adjacent natural light, a reflector and barn door to get the effect I wanted.  5D Mark IV with 100 f2.8 Macro at f32, ISO 100 and 30 sec exposure.

Hi

A beautiful still life that certainly hits the spot regarding my tastes - the lighting has been nicely handled and the dark surrounds work well - very nice indeed imo

All the best
Matthew

Handsome image - the iris looks great, fine job with the light.

Wow, Thanks to NSN for the EP. It is truly an honor to have my image selected among so many wonderful images posted by fellow NSN members.
