As a fly fisherman, you have caught this essence of this bug, perfect complimentary colors.

A wonderful image of this colourful chap - it does indeed work well

Suggestions - I suspect you could have paralleled the subject more to the film plane for a better overall subject sharpness, but perhaps not

That's the goal!   :)  The darn things don't sit still very long! I'm usually lucky to get ANY shot.
