A well executed, beautiful and sharp macro image! Can you give us some of the technical details about this image please? Such as equipment used, aperture, stacked images, etc.
Thanks.

39 images shot at succeeding focus points by simply moving the focus ring of my lens. I start at the point that just comes into focus that I want and then keep moving the focus ring with minute adjustments. Lens is a Nikon 200mm f/4 AF ED-IF macro lens with a Nikon PN-11 extension tube; camera Nikon D810; Gitzo explorer tripod; Arca Swiss ballhead. Settings: 0.5 sec; f/8; ISO 100; manual mode; remote release; mirror lock up; manual focus. Merged using Helicon Focus. Processed using CS6 and sharpened with Topaz InFocus. I took 16 sets of images totaling 505 images. Subject shouldn't move. There was a slight breeze and of course the moth did move during sets, so I had to start over. Maybe 2 or 3 sets were good. This is one of them. The process is tedious at times but worth the final outcome. You know, we only show our good photos, Ha.
